God can forget if He wants to. But God does not forget anything because forgetting is an ungodly act, which reeks of human limitations and failings.
The Qur’an says:
"…my Lord never errs, nor forgets." [Al-Qur’an 20:52]

Of COURSE He does!
Perfect forgiveness means to also "forget" the event. When God forgives us of sin, He forgets and never brings it up again.

It`s not that GodSatan, the single being that most middle-eastern monotheist religions revere forgets..it`s just thst this creature DOESN`T CARE!
Human beings' souls are it`s food, the more pain, fear, suffering, anguish and doubt you feel the tastier your essense..put it this way, when`s the last time you gave a f*u*c*k about the cheeseburger you were wolfing down?

He will forgive our sins and remember them no more. When we put on Christ righteousness (covered by His Blood), God sees the righteousness of His Son and not our sin any more.
So also, we need to forgive & forget others sins against us. Otherwise we suffer the tormentors (discipline).

The Bible says in the book of Isaiah that He forgets our sins. That does not mean a mental memory loss, but that He chooses to set aside our sins and think no more of them. Once He forgives us He will no longer consider how our sins should affect our relationship.

He does not forget. He forgives. Because He loves us and He gave us a choice.
