Any place but the "Salvation Army" There prices can be a bit much for people that have nothing. I had to do some community service there once and I remember this homeless lady came in and wanted to buy something but she didn't have the money and they told her that every one has to pay the same price for the items. Try your local woman's shelter...they don't charge the Mothers, they just want to help the Moms make their kids lives a little better.

If you have a child advocacy center near you, I consider that the best. They take in women and children in abusive situations, and give the clothing/toys to them, rather than reselling them. That is my major charity.

seem around your interior sight agencies for donation packing containers set out via the Marine Corps Reserve. The packing containers will say Toys for toddlers. place NEW toys, of their unique, unopened programs, interior the Toys for toddlers bin. The Marine Corps Reserve - assisted via interior sight detachments of the Marine Corps League - will take those toys to infants who want them and the two will thank you.

Get online to check the local charities in your city. I would recommend children's hospitals and also Haven - which is a charity that protects battered women and their children.

your local church.....They have a room full of things for people in need to go choose from, I think that is the coolest thing ever. Unlike the goodwill or salvation army, they make the people who need it the most, pay for the items, that YOU JUST DONATED. I think that's the stupidest thing,
