Go to www.hslda.org (Home School Legal Defense)and find your state law. Print up your state law and start check off what you have accomplished. After completing all that HSLDA says is your state law, then you are in compliance.

Oklahoma is one of the states that you aren't required by law to do anything. You don't have to do testing, keep records, or even notify anyone. The HomeSchool Legal Defense Association is a great site to go to. www.hslda.com. You can freely homeschool your child in whatever way you would like in Oklahoma and not be breaking any laws.

Why does the State of Oklahoma need to know that you are home-schooling your boys?

If you must tell them --- give them only the information that is required by the law of your state. You can find out about it at www.hslda.org --- they have everything you need to know.

You can also find links to groups in your area. There are thousands of Oklahoma home-school families. I hope that you easily find them.

If not, join yahoo groups that have people that are home-schooling.

You can go to www.yahoogroups.com and do a search for "oklahoma home school".
