They should actually be on puppy food. they can start eating dry now, they have teeth right? put a LITTLE bit of water on the dry to soften it some and give them a few kibbles to start them, if they eat too much it could upset their little tummy's. being babies, you can feed them several times a day at first, small quantities and then decrease to three small meals, then once in the morning and again in the evening. This should keep them happy. if you give treats during the day, be sure not to over do it or you'll either have overweight pups or they wont be able to eat their dinner. Always keep fresh water out for them, they slobber a lot when they drink and after a while the water isn't good to drink. Right now I change the water for the dogs twice a day, morning feed and evening feed.

I have a dog and I was very careful and made sure I started feeding him dry food at the right time. Mix the dry food with water. Make sure that it is VERY mushy for the first few weeks of the puppies life. When the puppy's teeth start to develop you can start giving him/her dry food that isn't very mushy. You should continue this until the puppies teeth are fully developed. When the puppie's teeth are fully developed you can stop mixing the food with water. This usually happens somewhere between the ages of 6-9 months. Tips: 1. Brush their teeth daily 2. Give them hard chew toys before making the transition to hard food. 3. Visit the veterinarian to make sure the puppies teeth are developing well. I hope I helped!

Usually about 8 weeks old they can start on dry food. However sometimes smaller breeds have a hard time with the dry foods and it takes them a bit longer. If they seem to be having a rough time with the dry food, do a half and half mixture of wet and dry food and then slowly put less wet food each week until they are eating nothing but dry food.

We have 2 Bichon Frise. They both started eating hard food as soon as they got home. at 8 weeks old. I would recommend a food specially formulated for puppies though as they are still growing!!

yes you can feed them dry food. But you should try and buy the dog food made for puppies because it is good for there growing body. It will also sharpen there teeth.

At two months you can feed them hard food. Just make sure you buy a food where the kibble size matches the dog size. My breeder used put hot water on the kibble..voila, you have a soft warm meal for your pups.

you can start feeding them dry food now. once they get their teeth and are weaned you can begin feeding dry food. it is actually better for them and their teeth than feeding canned or moistened dry food, keeps their teeth cleaner and has less fillers.

i would suggest contacting your vet about that; these people on here don't always have the greatest answers.
