My family loves when I marinade them in italian dressing for a while and then bake them in the oven. Italian dressings now come in varieties.

Pork Chop & Potato Casserole
4 Pork Chops
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup Sour Cream
4 cups Potatoes, sliced thin
1/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Chopped Onion
2 tablespoons Parsley
Salt & Pepper
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown Pork Chops.
Mix together Mushroom soup, Sour Cream, Water, Onion and Parsley.
Put a layer of Potatoes in casserole. Salt & Pepper each layer of Potatoes. Pour mixture over Potatoes, put another layer of Potatoes, pour more mixture, etc.
Put Pork Chops on top of Potatoes, cover and bake for 1 1/4 hours or until the Potatoes are done. If the oven isn't preheated, it takes at least 1-1/2 hours.
To reheat, cover and cook for 1/2 hour at 350 degrees.

This is very good and tasty..

Here's what I do: Trim fat. Brown the chops in a frying pan with a little butter, spice them up, salt, pepper, garlic (crushed or powdered, your choice). Put them in a pan suitable for the oven. Add a bit of water to the frying pan juices, bring to a boil, scrape all the bits off the pan and pour over the chops. Cover and bake in the oven at 350, 375 until the meat falls off the bone. If you use chops without bones, bake for about one and a half hour.
I also like to add a can of cream of mushroom soup (diluted with water, not milk). Add the diluted soup to the frying pan, instead of just water and pour over the chops. The possibilities are endless, you may want to add onions, potatoes or any vegetables, again your choice.

You will not find this recipe in any book. My mother used to do chops this way and I'm guessing her mother before her did also.
and so on and so forth. Good luck. =)

A very simple recipe is stuffed pork chops. But thick cut chops and cut slits to hollow out chop. Prepare some stovetop stuffing (pork flavor) and cool. Stuff into pork chops and put in baking dish. Add salt and pepper. Bake for about 1 hour. I like to serve brown gravy to pour on top of the chop.

Heat oven to 350. Make a pocket into each por chop.
In skillet, saute veggies. Remove from heat and add rest of ingredients. Fill pocket with mixture. In same skillet brown chops on each side. Sprinkle with s&p. Place in ungreased baking dish. Cover and bake 30 more minutes.

Orange Pork Chops with Rice MMMmmmGood!
One dish meal too!
Great for covered dish get togethers

4 pork chops. 1/2 inch thick or your preference of thickness
14 oz of chicken stock (not broth) Swanson organic
2 Tbs. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ground cumin or 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1Tbs. canola oil
1 Cup of orange juice
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 Pkg about 12 oz. baby carrots
3 green onions thinly sliced with green part included or
one small sweet onion
Enough quick cooking rice to serve4 or precook long grain rice to serve 4

1. Using a med. to lge skillet,
2. Over medium high heat ,
3. Add oil to skillet,
4. Heat oil until hot,
5. Add pork chops
6. Cook for 9 minutes on one side
7. Meanwhile stir together the 1/4 cup of the stock, cornstarch and spice until smooth, reserve the rest of the stock
8. Turn chops and cook 11 minutes more
9. Remove chops, set aside, wrap in foil to keep warm
10. Add remaining stock, carrots, orange juice and rice.
11. Cook until carrots are tender and rice is done. (10 min.)
12. Re-stir cornstarch mixture, add to skillet
13. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly, boil 1 minute
14. Return pork chops to skillet; heat through

This can be made in a casserole dish and baked .It's very good this way too. Just brown chops, then put all ingredients in casserole, bake at 350 until liquid is almost all absorbed, add chops on top and bake 10 more minutes. Serve. A fruit salad along side is a complementary side dish. Hot crusty bread. Delish!

When I take this dish to dinners, I always am asked for the recipe.

stuffed pork chops
6 chops (cut a slit in the middle of the meat to form a pocket)
1 egg beaten
bread crumbs
stove top pork stuffing (follow pkg. directions)
salt and pepper to taste
dill weed

after you make the pocket in the chop dip in egg and then dredge in bread crumbs. do this to all chops. open up the pocket and add a good spoonful of stove top. I usually pre-brown mine in a fry pan with a little oil, when golden brown place on cookie sheet that has been sprayed with 'pam' and cover with foil bake at 325 for 45minutes to an hour.

1. Use the Shake and Bake for Pork.

OR

2. Buy a marinade that you like.

* Put your pork chops in some kind of dish that is big enough.

* Pour the marinade over the pork chops.

* Let them set for a few hours or over night.

* Then put them on the grill.

I hope this helps.
