i've another question.

my mother says that she witnessed her friend take a shower after a session of basketball. she says that the shower had some effects on him, that he was all shivering (not from cold) and was terribly weak for a long period of time. could you link this incident with a possible disease from showering after strenous activities?

thanks.

No disease. Just his body was trying to cool itself (sweat) adn the shower took heat out of him too. He was cold. Also sometimes the body just has an adverse effect to outside influences. Always be careful, and this might be what happened to your moms friend, if you get very hot and take a cold/cool shower you can get light headed and pass out. Your moms friend also may have been at the verge or even had a heat stroke.

No. Showering after strenous activities is not harmful and probably has nothing to do with a disease.

it could be very well that he was so hot when he took a shower and cooled his body off too soon that he got a cold...very likely especially when his immune system could of been low..

my husband always waits until he cools down and relaxes before taking a shower--no sense in changing your body temperature so quickly
