The past two times I have used the bathroom, my fecal matter has been a definite green color. Never before have I seen it this intense shade of green, and it happened twice over a two day span. I do not feel sick at all, and have not been eating any green foods that I can remember... Is green fecal matter a sign of a potentially serious health problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stool Color can be affected by medications, food coloring, infection, food and the list goes on and on, it doesn't sound serious at this time but if it continues and you notice a change in bowel habits such as a different size, consistency, blood, any change in your usual routine you need to see your Dr. Re think what you might have eaten and drank 1-2 days before you had the green stool you might find you culprit.

Sometimes if you eat a food with blue coloring in it, it will turn your stool green. The bule mixes with the yellow bile in your digestive juices and makes Green. You know yellow and blue makes green! LOL

Green foods do not necessarily cause green feces. Actually, red and blue foods do. Fruit loops are a big culprit. Also, any other foods with alot of (any color) artificial food coloring will do it.

Did you eat Fruty pepples with the green kernals, if its not from what you ate, it means food is passing through the sytem too fast, as bile turns it green, but then turns brown as it works its way through the colon.
