Are you making that Pumpkin Pie that they made on the Saturday Kitchen?

Looked so delicious!

I'm not sure where you can get it, but give tescos or M&S a try. If not have a search on the internet.

Stem Ginger In Syrup

You can buy it in most supermarkets.
It is nice to chop some up small and put in a plain sponge cake mixture before cooking, when cooked and still hot, pour some of the syrup from the jar over the sponge pudding and serve hot with custard, yum.
For a quick dessert you can make a simple sponge pudding like this and cook in the microwave, cream 4oz of butter and 4oz of sugar in a bowl, add 2 eggs and a dessert spoon of milk and mix, then mix in 4 oz of flour and as much of the ginger chopped, as you like depending on how strong a flavour you want pour into a greased microwavable pudding bowl and cook for 4 minutes on high. When cooked turn the pudding out and pour some the syrup from the jar over or some golden syrup, eat whilst hot. This whole recipe including mixing and cooking takes less than 10 minutes.

M and S, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tescos. All the bigger supermarkets should stock it in their home baking aisle - it's not an unusual product.

I hate plugging large businesses, but Sainsburys sells it, in the aisle that has the flour and sugar , usually next to the bread aisle. And before anybody asks, no, I don't work for Sainsburys!

In the event it's a fruit it includes seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
