Can a simple cold make my dogs tail hurt?

no cold symptoms, but has a sore tail, no known trauma or injury. 3 year old female shepard mix, spayed.

If she has recently had a bath or been swimming, she might have something called "cold water tail".

no because dogs dont get colds
