Hi!

Deep freeze is a tool that enables one to have its partitions secure... Scenario: one is browsing the net and, for some reason, the computer gets infected with something... Then he may reboot the machine... and the virus is gone.
How it works: it uses 10-30% of the free space on each partition to save files, all files. If you overwrite them, don't worry, you write the copy, not the original. Upon boot sequence, DF deletes the copies, and so on... keeping the original files intact and unaltered.
The down is that: whatever you save on a "frozen" partition WILL be lost upon reset/ shut down, boot-up, etc... Thus forcing one to keep a partition "warm" ("unfrozen").
Also, if you are using Softwin BitDefender... be warned: they don't work together on the same machine: BitDefender blocks DF and thus you cannot access the DF interface (GUI) by shift clicking on the system tray DF icon... I know :(((

Good luck!

Deep freezing means freezing to temperatures less than 0. (probably minus). It is good for meats like things. But it harms the food quality. Continous freezing and thowing could drastically reduce the nutients in the food.
