How about a nice stir fry. Get a steak and cook it in the oven. While it is cooking, prepare some rice on the stove. Get a big pan and cut up an onion and some mixed vegetables and fry it up in some oil. Cut the steak up into little pieces and add the steak and the rice and stir fry it a bit. Add whatever spices you like (or not...it's good on its own) or maybe some soy sauce.
If you don't know type of spice might be good, a standard spanish flavor is to mix 1 tablespoon of fresh garlic with 1 teaspoon each of pepper and oregano. Salt to taste.

take two chicken breasts and place them in a flat pan with some begetables of your choice. Season with salt and pepper and a little lemon juice. Place on a LOW hob with a tightly fitting lid and leave to cook for one hour. You can go and get other things done while you are cooking this dish. DO not turn up the heat or the dish will burn. Longer than one hour is also ok, but not much more. You can also use salmon steaks, but cut the time down to about 40 mins.

Enchiladas W/ Sour Cream Sauce
This is my sister Alexis' recipe. The most delicious enchiladas you'll ever have. The sour cream sauce really makes this meal. Original recipe calls for 1 can of diced jalepenos in meat mixture but DH does not like it spicy so I omit.
1 1/4 lbs ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chilies
1 pint sour cream
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 (1 1/3 ounce) package taco seasoning
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon oil
12 flour tortillas
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Saute onion in oil until translucent.
Add ground beef and brown, drain fat then add back to pan.
Add taco seasoning and 1 can green chiles.
In a large bowl combine sour cream, cream of chicken, 1 can green chiles, garlic powder, chile powder, cayenne, salt & pepper.
Roll 3 tbs. of meat into each tortilla, place in casserole dish.
Spread sour cream mixture over rolled tortillas and top with cheddar cheese.
Bake 15-20 minute at 300 degrees
or what i call my lazy noodles
4 packs of beef ramen noodles
2 big bags of bbq chips with ripples-crushed up

pasta, boil with some sweetcorn or broccoli, top with chopped toms and sprinkle with cheese. My classic lazy day meal. You can jazz it up with herbs, onion and garlic if you need more. or even fry a little mince/ chicken pieces and add to chopped toms for a meaty dish.
You always add a little fresh salad and very fresh bread to make it posher.
