Ok, if you look at past questions I've dealt with a lot of Hairloss questions because I'm freaking out. I"m pretty sure I've pinned my problem to the fact that I smoke weed. After looking at some information on the web and noticing that after I smoke there is a weird film all over my hair that makes it almost crispy I'm pretty sure my problem is the weed. I've stopped smoking and I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and how long it will take to grow back? I've read on the internet that some people see it in a couple of weeks. But what is a couple of weeks!?

I have never heard of hair loss caused by smoking weed.. Not saying it doesn't happen, just never heard of it.

I have suffered from stress-related hair loss, though. It took about a month for the hair to start growing back.. and FOREVER for it to grow long enough to blend in with the rest of my hair. (I never lost that much hair, so it wasn't noticable to anyone but me)

Do you get extremely paranoid when you're high? Some people do, and paranoia and stress go hand in hand. That might be it. Also, how old are you? Some women naturally loose hair while they age, just like men do. (Which, if that's the case, they have over-the-counter treatment for it now).

I would suggest talking to your doctor. Be completley honest with him, let him know you smoke marijuana and that you think that might be causing your hair loss. Anything you tell a doctor is confidential, and he'd get in more trouble for snitching you out, than you would for smoking the herb.

Hope this helps!

I would advise you not to openly admit that you've been doing weed on the internet. There are internet police you know.. =]

Just a heads up, good luck with your hair. ;D
