Every time one drinks a glass of water, we are in effect 'redrinking' at least one water molecule that has passed through the bladder of Oliver Cromwell!!
For Fizz: I've actually helped extract ice core samples from several hundred meters below the Antarctic surface, and the ancient air trapped within the ice being under high pressure, fizzes and pops when added to a cheeky G & T !!

The only way to avoid this is to go to the nearest glacier, dig down a few metres and dig some big chunks of ice out. heat it up to make water and drink that. This is water that had not been through anything in a few thousand years, however, there is no guarentee that it has not been through something - maybe a couple of dinosaurs.
Its the same with air. How many times has the air we breath been breathed before.

Since the hydrologic cycle is a closed cycle, there is know telling how many times tap water has been through our system. You might be drinking the same water that King Tut washed his feet in.
