Hope this is easy for you! I found this recipe a lil while back! It sure is delicious!

BASIC APPLE PIE RECIPE
8 servings

This is my mom's recipe for apple pie (I've even successfully made it a few times!) You can make the crust or you can use a premade one.

CRUST (recipe makes one double crust):
2 1/2 cups white flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cold butter, broken into small pieces
5 tbsp. cold vegetable shortening
8 tbsp. ice water

Measure the flour, sugar and salt togetherl. Stir to combine.
Add the chilled butter pieces and shortening to the bowl. Cut them in with a pastry cutter or knife. Don't over mix them.
Add the ice water. Mix until the dough holds together (add a bit more water, if necessary).
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead it together, then divide in half.
Flatten each half into a disk, wrap in saran wrap and chill for at least half an hour.
Roll out one of the disks on a lightly floured surface until you have a circle that's about 12 inches in diameter.
Put the circle in a 9" pie plate, trimming any extra dough from the edges with a sharp knife (parents only). Return it to the refrigerator until you are ready to make the pie.
Add filling (see below)
Roll out the second ball of dough and cover top. Use a fork or your fingers to pinch the edges together. cut a couple slits in the top.

FILLING
1/3 to 2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
8 medium sized apples (a medium apple = about 1 cup)
2 tablespoons margarine

Heat oven to 425 degrees.
Peel, core and slice the apples. Try to keep the size of the slices even.
Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in large bowl.
Stir in apples.
Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.
Dot with margarine.
Cover with top crust and seal the edges. Cut slits in the top.
OPTIONAL: Cover edge with 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent too much browning. Remove foil during last 15 minutes of baking.

Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.

I'll edit this later and add a link for a recipe, but I wanted to tell you about the apple corer I have.

I got it at Williams Sonoma for around $25. It has a crank handle and turns the apple through a blade. It cores the apple (removes the core) skins the apple (removes the skin) and slices it very thinly.
It is perfect for making apple pie! If you're going to make more than one apple pie, you need to get this corer.

This classic apple pie recipe is homemade goodness at its best. The filling is made of luscious apples baked in a thick and gooey cinnamon brown sugar sauce. The crust is tender and flaky. Serve warm with some vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, and savor the moment
INGREDIENTS
Makes one 9" pie
• Crust
• 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp (5g) salt
• ¾ cup (155g) vegetable oil
• ⅓ cup (75g) milk (any kind, dairy or non-dairy works)
• Filling
• 8 cups sliced apples (about 6 large apples, approx 2 lbs, cut ¼" thick)
• ½ cup (115g) packed brown sugar
• ¼ cup (30g) all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon

AINSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 425F and start by preparing the crust.
2. Sift the flour twice, then whisk in the salt and create a little well.
3. Pour in the oil, then milk and stir everything together.
4. Once the dough starts to form, finish working it by gently kneading it on a sheet of wax paper.
5. Divide into two parts. Roll each part out in between 2 sheets of wax paper to about 11" in diameter. Fit one onto pie plate. Set aside.
6. Toss the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and flour together. Pour into pie plate.
7. Cut some shapes out of top pastry piece (if desired) and place over pie. Press and crimp the edges together. Cut some slits if needed.
8. Bake at 425F for 15 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 375F and bake for another 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling starts to bubble.
9. Let cool for 2 hours before serving.

I have a really good recipe that my family loves and it`s simply to do.
I package of Pillsbury pie crust (you get this in the dairy isle)
3/4 cup sugar
1tablespoon ground cinnamon
dash salt
3 1/2 cup peeled, and chopped apples (I use Gala Apples just because those are the ones I like best) chop them any size you like.
1 (16 ounce) Jar of applesauce with cinnamon
2 tablespoons of butter ( I use real butter) chopped into small pieces

Crunch Topping
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
dash salt
1tablespoon butter, at room temperature
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Line a 9 inch pie plate with one of the pie dough rounds. Combine sugar , flour, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Stir in apples, applesauce, and lemon juice. Stir till this is all mixed together. Spoon apple mixture into the pie pan and dot with the chopped up butter. Cut the other pie crust round into 1 inch strips with a pizza cutter or pastry cutter if you have one, arrange in a lattice design over top of pie. (Just like weaving a basket) For crunch topping combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Using a fork, cut in the butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over top of lattice crust. Back for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees F and continue to bake for about 45 minutes, or until crust and topping are golden brown. If crust starts to get a little too brown cover with a ring of aluminum foil, just on the edge of the crust. My family really loves this pie, because of the applesauce in it, and once you try it you will see just how simple it really is to do. Please let me know if you try this pie and like it. It always makes my heart feel good to know I have help someone with their cooking. Good Luck!
