When "faith" is your source of knowledge, you can believe pretty much whatever you want.

Ask enough Christians about all their beliefs about many things. Then, take notes about the variety.

Get it?

Oh no, not at all. People think that you must make some giant leap of faith, but no, it's a logical step. If you were able to get all the proof that IS available, you could easily see how it IS a logical step. An Alpha Course can help give you proof. It's just an introduction to the Christian faith, where you can ask any question at all, no matter how simple or how hostile. But at the end of the day, it does require SOME faith. But just a tiny little bit. Jesus is on the outside of your life knocking. He won't strong arm His way into your life, He'll let you choose Him or deny Him. But IF you open the door, He'll come into your life and fill you with a peace and a joy that is just too amazing and wonderful to explain really. Jesus accepts each one of us for who we are right now, it's ok, no matter what He finds behind the door, He'll still come in. He loves you that much, to accept you for who you really are... for who you are when no one else is watching... and then He'll help and guide and love you and fill you with that peace and joy that transcends all understanding.

Yes about as much as a mustard seed. To every man is given a measure of faith. From there it is up to them to excercise that faith and make it grow. It only grows as you use it. So, faith without works is dead. This means that you have to step out in faith a lot to get lots of results. The more results you get the bigger your faith gets. If everything that you do is calculated on what you personallly think the results will be then that is all you get. When you do an act of kindness for someone, expecting nothing in return, then this is when the results will show, both in you and in the reaction to the action.
In direct answer to your question, the measure of faith that you have been given is enough to get you started. so take that step today and ask Jesus to come into your heart and make Himself real to you. From that little, (biggest step of your life), you will not only see a flower grow, but you will send a ripple through the Universe to God's smiling face. The angels will dance in the heavenlys, and you will be on your way to more faith

I don't think so. I think God chooses who He wants; then, just makes it so clear to their soul that they can't NOT believe. I think it's something you have to experience. No one can explain it to you

I'm not a Christian; I'm a Baha'i. But, when someone is faith-filled, I know the experience they've had and are having. There's nothing like it.

The Word of God has the power to change human hearts. No one, nothing else has the power to do that.

It's not easy to be religious. You're swimming upstream while the world is swimming downstream.

It doesn't really take Faith. It's a feeling of certitude. It's like you lose all doubt. It's such a freeing thing. You don't have to guess about things, you KNOW about them.

But, yes. I guess it's faith. It just doesn't seem like it.

Maybe it's a KNOWing faith? Or, maybe a faithful KNOWing. I don't know.

I think what happens is that God calls you, then you either choose to follow Him, or not. If you choose, you then, become the chosen.

Actually, just the opposite! The Scripture refers to men having "....fatih as a grain of mustard seed" with which they'd be able to move mountains! Of course, this is a metaphor for being able to overcome obstacles, but I can see how it would pertain to what it takes to become a Christian and STAY a Christian! It's hard to give up one's past in a lot of cases for the betterment of the soul, but it's far better to remember that sin can cause a body and soul to be destroyed in Hell! Think about that next time your faith waivers.....

Faith is a gift from God, but you don't just put it on the shelf to look at like a plant you have to feed that plant and nourish it so that it will bare good fruit. Feed your plant with the Holy mass which contains the word of God and Jesus in the Eucharist. Take advantage of Gods mercy through the sacrament of Reconciliation, pray, fast and do penance. Your tree will be the light of the world. WOW

Having Faith in God, does not mean that you have to be a Christian. It does not matter what Religion you just might happen to be.

Well, not really. God can take the little faith that you have and work with that. If you're going to believe in ANY higher power, it takes faith. But, all you have to do is believe and God will do the rest. It's not hard.

You need faith to believe in anything. Atheists believe by faith that there is no God.
You step on the brake pedal in your car and have faith they will work.
You get on an evevator and have faith the cable won't break.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
