Hi there...consider trying using DivX for Mac to convert ASF to Mpeg: http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/

Are you sure you have a video file on your hard drive that ends with .asf? Is it big enough to represent real video? Maybe it is just a pointer to a file on a web server? But, if that is the real video file, try the free ware iSquint:
