I want to learn really bad. On how to become an Affiliate?

I've been reading up on how to do this, But there is so much that I don't have a clue as to where to begin, what are the most important things to learn first? Where do I begin on finding the job? Am I advertising/selling for a company? I really don't understand but very willing to learn. Please help I'm about to pull my hair out and in-need of a little more sleep. Is there someone I can call? or a web address that has live support for this kind of job? I Did not know there was so many different types of articles on this job. Basically an affiliate promotes products for someone else. Example; "Get Rich Today" send visitors to my website and if they purchase my service or product you get a commision. Simple enough? Well its not, it is very difficult to make money but when you get going it can be very rewarding. I am an internet marketer and have been for 3 years now. I am now doing around $6500 per month. This took an investment and lots of hard work. It took 2 years just to figure out that most are scams.

Here shortly you will see people answering your question and trying to get you to sign up for surveys and other online jobs. They are trying to take your money. Just wait within 5 hours you will have people spamming your question with things like, I just started doing surveys and i make $xx.xx per month. Its really easy. Dont listen to these people. If it was easy they wouldnt tell you about it and everyone would be doing it. They earn a commision off of you just like I explained earlier.

Sorry this is so long I just wanted to warn you against this sort of thing. I am going to tell you what i wish someone had told me. It is not easy but it is possible. The number one resource for affiliate marketing is clickbank.com. Below I will give you some links and I want you to research yourself what are legit opportunities. Taking surveys are not one of them. I am being honest with you here, I make money and I am not about to give you my secrets. No offense but anybody who is actually making a living will not tell you everything and I assure you it is not as simple as signing up on some site and "presto" your making money.
