Immigration HAS to be managed. Its common sense that Britain cannot indefinitely sustain large influxes of Immigrants. It wrong to ban ALL foreigners, yes.Referring to them as dumb,is also wrong!!! We cannot stop these Immigrants coming here.Being part of the "European Union" allows free movement of people. Whilst being part of the Union, its impossible to "ban" Immigrants.Even the announcement by the Home Secretary,to "manage" them by putting quota's in place, will not stop them coming here! They will just get work on the "black market".
I'm certainly not against people coming to the UK that need a place of safety, but as things stand at the moment, its an impossible situation. Our infrastructure is now suffering under the strain. Where does it end? Withdrawal from the "European Union" would enable us to close our borders, and take stock of the country? Vote Labour again, or Conservative? Doubt if that will stop it. Vote BNP? NO! They are the choices, which will you choose ?!

This is an issue that needs serious attention and study by all countries.

There are positives and negatives in regards to immigration.

On one hand, well-regulated and documented immigration can help nations improve their economy.
New ideas from the immigrants can foster growth and education.

On the other hand, an un-regulated immigration policy can tilt the balance of power (politically, religiously, etc) and cause social upheaval.

Then there is the need to understand who is immigrating and why.
What is going on in their native land that might cause mass immigration.

Finally, it would be nice to weed out the "dumb foreigners", but that is an unrealistic approach.
Ideally, all immigrants would be given two choices: work towards becoming a citizen (with a lot of stipulations attached to that goal) or allowed a temporary workers permit.

Too much immigration as in the U.K. is not a good thing as it contributes to a loss of national identity. The infrastructure of the country cannot keep up with the amount of immigrants coming here, who are sapping our wealth by getting more in benefits than what they have put into the economy. They receive benefits and tend to send some of the money back to their own country to help support their relatives, this drains our wealth as well, as the money is not being recycled here. We should put a stop to this immigration, until this country can stabilise the population explosion that we have. We are a small island and there is a limit to the amount of people we can support.

The population of the world today is 6 1/2 billion. In 2050 it is projected to be 9 1/2 billion. Most of these increase will come about in 3rd world countries.

Immigration is going to become much much worse. It will soon be time to drag the machine guns to the borders because that's all that will stop it

I might emigrate to Bangladesh. I saw on an advert on TV saying that for only £15 a month I could feed and clothe a village, provide running water and education. What can you get for £15 in the UK - naff all. Just think of all I can get over there for that price - Bargain! Anyone coming across with me?

There needs to be a curtailment on all immigration,at least for awhile. At least until our country's can get a handle on the problems we have with the immigrants
that are already here.
We in the states are being invaded by hordes of illegal aliens and no one as yet has found a way to stop the
seemingly endless flow. Its has become a very major issue in this country.

Hey Sly...people have migrated since the dawn of time for one reason or another, it was only when we became territorial that we started to divide the land into "his and mine". Now we protect "our" land with nuclear bombs, and use those less fortunate to do the tasks that have become to menial for some. What you have to ask is "is it right to use the migrants for that purpose?" after all you do not hear of mass immigration to any of the poor countries do you? it will cease when we stop taking each other for granted.

Countries have Immigration laws for a reason.

Mainly that reason is to protect the national integrity of that nation in seeing that it is preserved by "limiting" the number of various individuals from entering the country.

Since it is the Countries individual laws - Only that country can say they are right or wrong.

So - if you do not want to live in that country - go somewhere else because you have absolutely no say in the matter.
