I already have had a few things make me smile Debra. I hope your day is full of smiles too. One of these things that made me smile was this question I asked yesterday, the answer touched me.

Any day I talk to my son, is brightened, and memorable.
As we are separated (he lives with his mother) I have to find my daily smile elsewhere, so I go straight to the comics, I found good drive time morning radio shows, and then I hunt humor in every source I can think of, (and have found quite the mother lode here in Q&A.)
The Daily Show, and Craig Ferguson are always great for a laugh. I can talk about comedy all night...but
Starting to babble, better stop.
Thank you for your kind thoughts.

It sounds to me as if you are the one who needs to smile. Sometimes, we feel as if the weight of the world is on our shoulders. It's unpleasant to say the least.
When I am like that I take time out for the simple things in life. I go for a walk and look at the wondrous world around me. I look at the beauty of a single flower. I go be with the people who love me. I hug my grandchildren and listen to their laughter.
I tell my husband and ask him to hold me. I call my friends and talk to them.
But most of all, I pray. I let God know how I am feeling. I understand that feelings are just transient and it is God's deep and abiding love for me that matters. I try to look at the time I am going through and realize it is nothing compared to eternity.
For my part, I will pray for you. I leave you with my life's verse from the Bible:
Phil 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing. But through prayer, with supplication, let your requests be made known to God. And the peach of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The laughter of my daughter, either one of them.
The gentle kiss of my husband before he leaves for work.
Work well done.
A clean house (never actually had this happen, but I've heard it makes you feel really good! lol)
An uplifting song ... I just love Brad Paisley's song, I think the title is something like "When I Get Where I'm Going" ... he sings it with Dolly Parton backing him up; very pretty song.

What would bright my day if I could see my nephew smile when I walk in the room to hold him. what would make me smile is to see the world at peace and for the war to stop around the world
