Im applying for a full time job with the intent of going part time because of school about 2-3 months after. Should I tell the employer at the interview or wait a month or so after I get hired?

I would be upfront at the interview.
You are better off being honest now, than being fired when you tell them down the track.
How would that look on your resume for the next job application?

If the job is full time and you're already requesting to work part time, that's not a good idea...what you could do is ask a few questions that tiptoe around it...ask what are the hours, will there be asked to work later or earlier...try to get a sense from the interviewer. It also depends what the job you're applying for as well if it'll be a big deal if you go part time...if it's retail then no one will care...either way i'd get the job first then drop the part time bomb on them

Get the job first. Telling him that up front is like shooting yourself in the foot. After 2-3 months, once you are already in, then tell your boss. Trust me.

I say get hired for full-time, and when you need to cut back to part-time...THEN tell them 2 weeks in advance!

If the job market is tough where you live, do what you gotta do. If it is fairly easy to get the kind of job you are lok=oking for, then play fair.

Be up front, otherwise you have started on the wrong foot.
