HA. Ten hours of sleep--that's a good one. Yes, caffeine pills will work. But under dire circumstances, get your doctor to prescribe you narcolepsy medication. With correct doses, it gives you more energy and concentration. However this is VERY dangerous and should only be taken every once in a while or as prescribed by a doctor. You could try homeopathic medications (certain plants and herbs act as minor stimulants and are legal) or just normal methods. For example, listen to loud, fast paced music or study on a treadmill. If you can fall asleep doing THOSE things, you definitely need the narcolepsy meds! Hope this can help. I cannot stress enough how dangerous all of the methods involving medications (over the counter or prescription) are. Be careful to use sparingly or risk becoming addicted.

I have to get up at 3am and drive over 300 miles in a da round trip and stay awake all day for a 15 hour day. I drink a cup of coffee when I get up then I drink Diet Mountain Dew. I have 4 of them through out the day when I have to drive. I have a cup of coffee around noon. I am able to stay awake and keep going all day. But I only do this once a week. I drink water the next day to flush my kidneys. I don't like taking pills. I took No Doz years ago and I felt sick.

I know caffeine pills sound really inviting and like the best answer for a temporary solution, I would never take them. My sister ended up in the ER during finals. She had taken a whole bottle in 72 hours. During midterms she started take one or two a day, and it just progressively got worse.. Stick to the a couple of cups of coffee, or go to bed

There are caffeine pills, like NoDoze. Coffee, energy drinks. Or exercises. Can you walk while you read? Or break when you get sleepy and run around your dorm building a couple times.

Try this, but be careful, this is not for everyday use because it will really boost you. Like you cook coffee on your kitchen-stove. Boil "glass" of Coca Cola and then add a tea spoon of coffee (but real, strong coffee with caffeine). You shouldn't get too much sleep after drinking that.

Most doctors are reluctant to prescribe stimulants for that. You do learn best on a good night's sleep so try to get at least 6 hours of sleep at night. Good luck with the studying.

You could try caffiene pills, BUT BE CAREFUL. When I was a youngster, I thought the more I took the more hyper I'd be----when really it will just make you so sick you wanna die. LOL. Follow the directions on the box................or just go get a Starbucks coffee w/ extra espresso shots.
