If you want the ultimate experience, try the Restaurant Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower. It's not just a tourist gimmick -- Parisians eat there. It is reached by its own private lift (south pillar). The head chef, Alain Reix, has brought the restaurant an excellent reputation, placing among the top in France (one star in the Guide Michelin, 16/20 in the Guide Gault Millau).
Sitting in the heart of this intricate iron structure full of angles and perspectives, the Jules Verne looks out over Paris from 125 meters above ground.

Go there for lunch on a weekday. It's much more affordable and you get a daylight view of Paris!

There is an excellent restaurant at The Ritz, L'Espardon - I enjoyed a really fabulous meal there a few years ago, it was a summer evening and we dined out in the gardens. Even the mouse scurrying around the tables did not distract us, however November is probably too cold for mice and men but you can still eat inside. {probably towards the top end of the Paris price range, but still significantly less than you would pay at a comparable London restaurant}

Try Le Procope, reputed to be the oldest restaurant in Paris. I had a set three-course luncheon there with the wife and it was the best restaurant meal ever (and I travel frequently). It was a few years back and the cost €29.50 a head.
Food, setting and service is absolutely wonderful.

You can view the menu at French restaurants which is posted outside the establishment. That way you can make up your mind before entering.
I really love Auberge de la Bonne Franquette, which is located in Montmartre. It's a great restaurant, great food, great atmosphere. I've only been there on Saturday evenings, but they have two entertainers (a singer/guitarist and accordion player) who entertain the restaurants. Be careful of the amorous accordion player. Trust me.
But it's a lot of fun. We have a great time...reservations are appreciated but not necessary.

Montmartre is the place to go. Any restaurant on the Rue des Trois Freres. Cheap and cheerful, but good.
Le Durer , 19 rue Yvinne le Tac is one of our favourites. Set price menus are very reasonable, the food and service excellent.
Look out for the sorbets at the end of the meal. You tend to be served a generous scoop of sorbet, along with a bottle of spirit!! e.g. le colonel is lime sorbet with vodka.
Brilliant!!! Highly recommended.

Are you involved interior the view or interior the foodstuff? If its foodstuff then I especially propose L'Argume at 15 Rue des Fossés Saint-Marcel interior the 5th arrondissment. (the interior is very marvelous yet its merely on somewhat component street on the floor floor so there is not any longer a typical tourist "view"). Ask to be seated on the counter so which you will watch the bright youthful chef prepare your meal (while you're a foodie it extremely is the "view" that's helpful). choose for the 35 euro, 5 course, tasting menu. The chef explains what he's doing and what you're eating. The foodstuff is merely spectacular. no longer something weird and wonderful yet nonetheless imaginitive and arranged with classic technique. I ate there in April. just to furnish you a concept of what you ought to be served here is what i became given. First process a single appropriate ravioli garnished with petit pois and napped with a astonishing cream sauce flavored with nuts. 2d course became fingerling potatoes poached and flavored with a vinagrette with a meltingly scrumptious piece of foie gras. 0.33 course became poached turbot with a quenelle of leeks and a sauce made with kumquat relief. Fourth course became completely grilled duck breast served uncommon with a compote of artichokes. The 5th course became 2 appropriate cakes. A panna cotta with a sauce of raspberries and a chocolate ganache dusted with cocoa powder and served in a pool of mint sauce. With a drink previously dinner, bottled water, an entire bottle of wine and espresso in a while the full bill got here to one 0 one euros for 2.

Cool pizzeria - think it's called "Iolande" - by Bir-Hakeim metro station/Champ de Mars RER station (not far from Eiffel Tower). Big pizzas, very reasonable prices.

if you sit down at restaurants in europe, expect to pay at least double that which you would pay if you stood up at the tables outside on the street.
