There is an excellent restaurant at The Ritz, L'Espardon - I enjoyed a really fabulous meal there a few years ago, it was a summer evening and we dined out in the gardens. Even the mouse scurrying around the tables did not distract us, however November is probably too cold for mice and men but you can still eat inside. {probably towards the top end of the Paris price range, but still significantly less than you would pay at a comparable London restaurant}

Try Le Procope, reputed to be the oldest restaurant in Paris. I had a set three-course luncheon there with the wife and it was the best restaurant meal ever (and I travel frequently). It was a few years back and the cost €29.50 a head.
Food, setting and service is absolutely wonderful.

You can view the menu at French restaurants which is posted outside the establishment. That way you can make up your mind before entering.

I really love Auberge de la Bonne Franquette, which is located in Montmartre. It's a great restaurant, great food, great atmosphere. I've only been there on Saturday evenings, but they have two entertainers (a singer/guitarist and accordion player) who entertain the restaurants. Be careful of the amorous accordion player. Trust me.

But it's a lot of fun. We have a great time...reservations are appreciated but not necessary.

Montmartre is the place to go. Any restaurant on the Rue des Trois Freres. Cheap and cheerful, but good.

Le Durer , 19 rue Yvinne le Tac is one of our favourites. Set price menus are very reasonable, the food and service excellent.
Look out for the sorbets at the end of the meal. You tend to be served a generous scoop of sorbet, along with a bottle of spirit!! e.g. le colonel is lime sorbet with vodka.
Brilliant!!! Highly recommended.

all types of fast-food is available under the louvre. in the metro station.
here you can sit and eat nearly everything for a low price. its a collection fast-food companies and f.e. chinese, japanese food.
