I've been dating a guy exclusively for some time, quite a few rocky times, but we have always remained exclusive. However, we still don't refer to each other as bf and gf. We got lots of questions about if we're dating etc but I am not sure what the correct answer would be.I guess I don't know what to do without a "label" on us. Everytime we put a label on things..things go bad & we end up arguing, but when we leave it alone and just go with it..then we get along better than any couple I've known. I guess I kinda need labels b/c I don't know how to respond when someone asks me if I have a bf, and I was wondering what you guys think of this? (I have no reason to believe my bf is/would cheat, I am with him during almost every bit of his free time. Serious answers only please.

I just say " I'm seeing someone"
Or "I'm dating someone at the moment" and leave it at that.

ok, first of all you men at the instantaneous are not relationship. you're in basic terms 12 years old, and it sounds like you're searching into this difficulty way too a lot. if he did not call and ask you to go someplace with him then you definitely not in any respect went on a date with him. and except you've been on various dates or known with one yet another that you're both going to be unique, then there's no way for him to even cheat on you because it sounds like you've been not in any respect "at the same time" contained in the first position. and considering that that is the case, you won't be able to "chop up" with someone you not in any respect dated...

Sounds like to me that you should answer the questions with "Yes, I am dating someone"

That is pretty much the truth, and you don't need labels. You are dating. The next step is " Yes, I am engaged"

But if you have to introduce him, you can just say " This is my date, _____"

I would leave it at that until he calls you his GF in front of someone.

Labels are for the public. As long as the two of you are happy and satisfied with the way things are then the heck with what other people say. Especially if they aren't someone who's opinion matters to you. If you feel you must answer their questions, just tell them "Yes, I'm seeing someone."

It sounds to me llike you are having a harder time trying to know if you are a couple or not, not that other people ask you.
#1 If people ask you, then just reply, yes we still see eachother...
meaning you can't say NO if you are still dating...........
#2 It's up to you and him as to what you are together!!! Either you are boy friend/ and girl friend ...or just friends...If you don't know where you stand with the guy, ask him! Tell him you need to know how serious he is or you have to move on...Life is too stressful as it is........But if you are happy with the relationship, then just go on with the way things are.....(good luck)

Im not saying that is going to happen to you...but just keep your eyes open....pay attention to little things he might say...you never know what guys are up to! im the same way...i NEED a label!!! good luck!

Been there. It is all still new and putting labels on your relationship scares him. Give him time and he will come around. Mine did. But, I still introduced him as my bf and let it be known to him that I wanted him as that. Good Luck!

Just explain to people who ask that the two of you are exploring a relationship at the moment and just enjoy each others company with no strings attached.

Just politely respond "yes, I have someone very special in my life " when asked if your in a relationship or if you have a BF.
When introducing him to another person ,"I would like you to meet someone very special to me"

well, maybe if someone would ask this question while you two are together than you could find out where ya'll relationship stands. But if ya'll don't get along when ya'll label it, then just continue to do what ya'll do.
