Eat a healthy lunch. Then for dinner, have a salad. Rom lettuce, shredded cabbage, grn. onions, shredded carrot, tomato, and put balsamic vinegar, w/ 1tbsp. olive oil. Mmmm very good. You can eat a whole bowl full. Then have some yogurt for dessert.
The secret is don't think about it all day long.
Drink lots of water.
God Bless!

Try this it was invented by a dietitian for obese people who need an operation in two weeks time.
There is enough for one week so freeze half freshly made to last the week.
I cheated and did it for a whole month every other month went from a 40in waist to a 32in without to much effort.

Operation Soup

Ingredients.

3 large onions
1 large or two small green peppers
1 bunch of celery
½ head of green cabbage
1 leek
2 tin chopped tomatoes
1 packet of French onion soup (any brand)
3 vegetable stock cubes (I use oxo)

Cut all vegetables into bite size pieces if your not going to liquidize.
Place all in a large pot add enough water to cover.
Simmer until vegetables are cooked add more water if necessary.

NOTE
To be eaten as a two meal replacement (largest and the smallest).
You can still have a light lunch or light evening meal.
Should not exceed 5 days at a time and 10 days a month.
You will pass more water so make sure you keep up your water intake.

Hello my Friend,

It's great that you need to join the marines.

1.) Losing of Body fat : I am not sure if you are running outside or on the treadmill, anyways i will attempt to help you with both :
a.) Running out : To lose fat, always try to choose a playground or some place which is considerably flat, in this way you are not trying to exert much pressure on your muscles so as to induce them into muscle building. By reducing pressure on the muscles you are actually making them work normally and in this way they lose a lot more calories than if you would run on a inclined path.
b.) Running on the treadmill: Keep the gradient on 0 and keep a formiddable speed, not too much to tire you down soon or not too less to make you feel lazier after a while. Run for a longer time than you usually would, this will help you reduce a lot of calories.

And remember my friend in between all this, don't tend to be careless on your diet, I would not suggest to lose a lot of carbs and fat in your diet, keep them in but just a considerable amount,

Try to have more of proteins which will help you improve your muscle building and don't worry it won't add to your fat.

Also eat salads as they will help you in many ways. They will increase the water content in your body to some extent as this is very required to keep your muscles lubricated during your regime. Different vegetables contain different vitamins, so make sure you have variety of colour in your salad. also the fibrous content of the salad will help you in reducing fat.

My friend, hope i have covered all your questions,

These are some of the suggestions i can give you and hope it helps you find the proper results and help you joining the marines. All the best.

Yeah, you can starve yourself out of 10 lbs and end up being sick, lame and lazy once you report to MCRD, don't suggest it. Keep yourself hydrated and try to cut back on things, see how it goes. Being in the best mental and physical condition is very important before you descend into what boot camp is all about, your D.I. will assist you in shedding those extra pounds once your start training. I don't know if your seriously overweight or that 10 pounds is just a ideal weight for your height? If your overweight big time the Marine Corps is going to be a tough place for you to make it. That said, you should be running and working on your basic fitness requirements during these next 10 days. Good luck

Like I tell everyone who wants to lose weight.... the key is activity... and the locksmith is the delightful combination of Vodka & Red Bull. Alcohol dulls the mind while caffiene makes the body hyperactive. Get enough of that stuff in your system and you'll be flying about like a maniac... That'll burn up the energy reserves something vicious.

Oh... and try doing things in the cold. Shivering burns up energy reserves too.

Eat less and drink plenty of water. If you cut out fast foods and high fat high calorie foods you should be able to drop ten pounds in a week. Also walk at least a mile every day.

If you watch that show The Biggest Loser, they have the people doing cardio every day for at least an hour and they only feed them protein and veggies. No breads, rices, etc. They drop weight fast.

Here is a list of some of the fast diets we have all tried:

Every year Americans invest billions of dollars in weight loss diets and gimmicks, many of which yield few results. However, the lure of quick, easy weight loss is hard to resist. Despite ineffective tools, most hopeful consumers are willing to give the next weight loss fad a chance. If you're planning to start a new diet, it is important to remember the following information.
Food-specific diets: Have you ever tried the cabbage diet or the fruit-only diet? These are just a couple of examples of diets that promote one "specific" food that causes weight loss. No matter how much you think you'll enjoy ice cream at every meal, inevitably you will get bored with eating the same food repeatedly. As a result, you'll eat less food than needed to maintain your weight. This type of diet will not teach you healthier eating habits or provide a balance of nutrients, and consequently is not effective for long-term weight loss.

High-protein, low-carbohydrate diets: One of the most recent trends in dieting, these diets are based on the concept that carbohydrates are "bad" and that everyone has some degree of insulin resistance, resulting in poor carbohydrate metabolism. Many proponents of these diets suggest that including carbohydrates in your diet will cause weight gain. The reality, though, is that eating more calories (whether as carbohydrate, fats, or protein) than you burn will cause weight gain.

High-fiber, low-calorie diets: Fiber-rich foods play an important role in a healthy diet. They are a helpful ingredient of weight loss efforts because they provide bulk to the diet, which helps you feel fuller sooner. Be careful, though: if you plan to increase the fiber in your diet, be sure to increase your fluid intake at the same time or you may experience cramping, bloating, and constipation. High-fiber diets will help with weight loss only if you restrict calories in conjunction with addition of extra grains, fruits and vegetables.

Liquid diets: Consumers face a couple of different liquid diet options. Your local grocery store and pharmacy sell over-the-counter liquid meal replacements, which can be expensive and frequently add extra calories to daily consumption if not managed carefully. On the other hand are liquid diets that require medical supervision. These diets are usually very low in calories and may result in metabolic abnormalities if dieters are not carefully monitored. Neither type of liquid diet should be used for long-term weight loss unless monitored by a health care professional. Radically changing your caloric intake in this way will not result in long-term behavior modification and healthy eating patterns.

Fasting: As a way to cleanse the body or jump-start a weight-loss program, fasting has been recommended for years. However, all that fasting really does is deprive your body of nutrients and decrease your energy, leaving you feeling weak and lightheaded. If the right nutrients are not available for your cells to use as energy, your liver will convert fat stores to ketones for use as energy (ketosis). Long-term ketosis can be harmful to your health.
No fad diet or gimmick will work magic for safe and effective weight loss. The following are some suggestions for ensuring a long-term healthy eating plan and getting your weight loss efforts off to an encouraging start:
Eat a variety of foods. Remember, a balanced diet will ensure that you get all necessary nutrients.

Get some physical activity every day. Calories in must be less than calories out to ensure successful weight loss. To keep "calories out" at a healthful level, make you get at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day.

Include sources of fiber in your diet. They will add bulk and give you a feeling of fullness.

Choose a diet low in fats, saturated fats, and cholesterol. You do need to consume some fat for good health. Aim for no more than 30 percent of your total calories as fat calories, of which no more than 10 percent should be saturated fat calories.

Choose foods moderate in sugars. Foods that are high in simple sugars usually offer little nutritional value and will add unwanted calories.

Choose foods moderate in salt and sodium. Remember that salt has been added to many foods during preparation or processing, so it's not necessary to add extra salt at the table.
