I'm 31 years old and my wife is 24. We have 4 children with twins. Have been married for 6 yrs.
My wife has 3 sisters and a brother. One of the sisters and brother are married. My other two sister in laws are 17 & 15 yrs and they have been living with us for the past six years.
I treat my two sister in laws as my own daughters and they call me dad and I'm fine with that. My wife's parents died when they were 3 & 5 yrs. They've been living with us for 6 yrs and they have called me dad all this time. My wife's happy about it and says I'm great.
I treat them like my own daughters from my heart and have done everything to them including all expenses. I've bought two houses for them, for their marriage. They say that I am like their own dad and kiss me.When I married they were 9 & 11 and from then they have been kissing me Is it okay for them to kiss me in a father daughter way on the cheek and calling me dad?

First, you should be commended. You are a relatively young man and yet you have taken on a huge responsibility. Obviously, your generosity is appreciated by your wife's family. I don't know of too many young men who would assume financial responsibilty in this way.
From what you describe, the "daughterly cheek kisses" appear to be appropriate and obviously they are showing you respect and affection. Could it be that you are somewhat uncomfortable with them calling you "Dad" ? If you would prefer more distance, perhaps you could suggest that they call you by your first name.

first i thought i was reading a math exercise with the sisters that are 15 and how old is one and the other is half and then they ask you to find out which sister is minor and then if the brother....
really i don't understand the problem...
what's so bad if some kids call you dad?

What harm as long as you can maintain your limits. On the other hand you cannot take their real fathers' place but you can have the affectionate to an extent.
Suppose if the girls are disabled still you think that you will be like their own father. This is logic.

I don't see why not unless your feelings start to change towards them as they mature. My step dad was a pedophile,just be careful!

Well, seems ok. But do their husbands mind? If so, maybe not. Afterall, it is ok to bathe a kid but not a teen...things change.
