No.
The Pope is not and never has been a Nazi. He unfortunately was born and grew up in a country ruled by the Nazi party.
All non-Jewish boys were required by law to join the Hitler youth. Later he was drafted into the army.
Do you think that every draftee in the Nazi German Army was a Nazi? If you do then you are very naive.
Just hope and pray that you do not have to make a decision to be live, fight, and possibly die for a government in which you do not believe or be executed.
I know of some US soldiers that joined up eagerly to fight in Afghanistan after the World Trade Center attack. But now they have to fight in Iraq, a war that they do not think is just.
You and I live in a very different world that the Pope did in 1930s and 1940s Germany. Let us not be too quick to judge others.
With love in Christ.

yes he was in the hitler youth group as a young person - not a priest of even seminarian. being in the organization does not make him a nazi. i've seen some very sad comments on this asnwer and others that are more understanding of reality.
the Rcc is not a nazi movement and i think you are rather sad to even make such a suggestion. pope pius at the time felt religion had nothing to do with war - that was wrong. however look at the people who went ballistic when pope Benedict spoke out against the islamo-facists -- gracious the Rcc can't win for loosing.

He joined Hitler Youth at the age of 14 in 1941 - which he was legally reguired to do under Hitler. It is believed he avoided attendance of meetings. Gunter Grass was also, under duress, a member of the Nazi party as a young man - and it would be hard to think of a more fierce opponent of fascism than that man. What people are made to do does not make them.

Yes, he was in the Hitler Youth. I have read some other answers here and see many people excusing his behaviour by saying he was forced. As I see it, a man of God should be above persuasion and cohersion and be ready to forfeit his life for his beliefs. Does this neccessarily make him a Nazi? Maybe not. Does this make him weak? Yes. Furthermore, remember that Pope Pius XII was the one in charge during WWII and issued the platform of non-involvement (a major part of why the U.S. did not initially get involved in the war) becuase he was friends with Hitler. This would not be the first time we had a Pope who empathized with the Nazi Party. Also, Pope John-Paul II said the Pope to follow him would be a man of poor character (I have also hear it translated as 'evil').

Not being a member of the Hitler Youth in that region of Germany at that time was a very, very bad move, whether you agreed with them or not.
Much like not being a Communist in China during the Cultural Revolution - a very bad idea. If you join something under duress, it doesn't mean you agree.

Yes, Hitlers Youth. Though, that program was more the parents sending their kids... Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Pope... he's sneaky. One of his titles from the Church is Grand Inquisitor as well... you know, the Inquisition. He has a few other titles, but none of them strike a chord like Grand Inquisitor.

Yes he was in the Hitler Youth but he was forced to join. If you didn't you were sent to the concentration camps. What would you do: join Hitler Youth or get shot in a concentration camp?

I think that is just a rumor spread by the Islamo-Facists (muslims) to dis-credit their rival. What the muslims forget though is that Hitler had a great relationship with the muslim leaders and they were joining forces to eliminate the jews. As always, Islam can be related closely to the ideals and drive of theNazi regim.
