I have a braid of my hair which is blond about about 12 inches long. Is there anywhere in the UK that buys hair? Is it worth anything?

why not do something for someone else and donate it to charity. IF you sell it, it will be worth pennies compared to the happiness it COULD bring someone. get a grip, with respect.

I had my hair cut when I was 12 for the first time. I could sit on it and it was very thick and wavy hair. My Mam didn't know you could sell hair. The hairdresser cut my hair in one straight line and the lenghth she cut off was about 2ft long. Mam thought that was the normal way to cut long hair like mine until a friend of hers asked her what she had sold my hair for. When Mam went back to the hairdresser she was told my hair had gone in the bin. Yeah, as if! So good on you for keeping hold of your hair. Look up the best wig maker in google and get in touch with them. Orthodox Jews will also pay a fortune for real hair for their wigs.

You should give it in to make wigs for those who suffer from cancer and have to go through chemotherapy and lose their hair. I don't think you will get anything for it (maybe a fiver but you certainly won't become rich, sorry!) but it's a really nice thing to do.

Think about it, your hair probably contains you DNA. Would you want that to get into the wrong hands, someone might clone you. Then there would be two of you on here asking us this question.

you could try e-bay as buckets of water have been sold on there (no lie). If there is a local wig maker then you could try them.
