Your body produces glucose (blood sugar) out of any food you eat, even foods that have no natural sugar (pure protein).
My suggestion (and I am diabetic) would be to make yourself up a mix of nuts to snack on when you feel the "sugar cravings". I am using sunflower, soy and almonds right now, myself.
Don't skip your main meals, but fix them from scratch without adding any sugar (this means not fixing anything that comes out of a sealed box, bag or other type of package, from the supermarket). Be sure to have a protein based snack (a 1-2 ounce slice of meat and 1/2 a piece of fruit or veges) about every 4 hours - and have the nuts handy for break-through cravings.

Thats a really poorly worded question... for shame. Your meaning is anything but clear.... but I'm assuming you're asking how you can go for 24 hours sans sugar IF you have a sugar addiction..... rather than asking how going without sugar for 24 hours could give you a sugar addiction (which, despite it being counterintuitive, looks to be exactly what you're asking)...
Anyway... what sort of sugar?
Perhaps its alright to eat fruit. It doesn't have "added" sugar.... only self-made fructose and whatnot... Might do the job...
Then again, sugar addictions are psychosomatic.... so I'd recommend distracting yourself with something else or simply deciding not to eat sugar and sticking to it unwaveringly. Its no more difficult than holding your breath for 10 seconds.

Hi Lori,
Kaorin has given a valuable suggestion. Fruits can help you a lot to come over sugar addiction, and maybe you should slowly start looking into other different tastes in the world, like spice, sour etc. i know it sounds foolish but if you get in touch with different tastes, you would be left with a lot of taste choices and your sugar will just be one of it, so you can control that in some way. Hope my suggestion does help you some extent. Best of luck.

I'll give you an IV and strap you to a bed so you can't eat anything. Everything has sugar. Even fruit has high levels of natural sugar. You need to be more specific in what exactly you are trying to avoid.

I have a major sugar addiction. Lately, to curb my sugar appetite I've been eating sweet apples, kiwifruit and Jols (Sugarfree jelly-treats)
They all have a natural sweet taste, and I just pretend they're sugar-coated and I'm over the sugar rush.

I've tried going for 2-3 days without any form of sugar-based junk food before and it left me feeling ready to kill!
I try and eat fruit as much as poss and try - but do less well - to drink lots of water, too.

quite no longer Bruce. Jesus calls for Obedience to his Commandments. The Commandments are a transcript of God's character. God is the author of his Holy regulation(Exodus 31:18). His regulation is a Revelation of God's will to mankind. to alter the regulation may be reminiscent of adjusting God. The Bible says "i'm the Lord thy God, i adjust no longer." God Holy regulation is immutable. guy does no longer have the capability to alter God's words in any way. we are obligated by God to maintain his Commandments. The regulation of God is Holy, in simple terms and sturdy(Romans 7:12). The regulation of God is the two eternal and nicely-known and it quite is been popular forever(Romans 3:31). Jesus pronounced that he did no longer come to injury the regulation(Matthew 5:17-18). Jesus magnified the regulation. He raised the severe ethical common of the regulation while he lived between adult males. people who acquire Christ into their heart and shop his Commandments will stay forever while Christ returns the 2d time. particular be conscious: a million John 2:4 a million John 5:3 Revelation 12:17 Revelation 14:12 Revelation 22:14

i agree with Kaorin. try substituting with natural sweetners. Try weaning yourself off with Fructose maybe (but i dont know ur reasons for stopping the sugar) but its less harmful. or using honey in tea instead of sugar. if u feel like munching something sweet, try fruit, even dried fruit or sweet bars that dont contain sugar but that are just as sweet. i've replaced all my sugar intake with honey...and if i have to have sugar in like coffee or something, (which is very seldom) i make sure its brown sugar...
