There is no way to break up with a person without hurting him. But you must do it ifr you don't love him, and especially if you find him to be controlling and abusive. He will sooner or later "graduate" from verbal abuse to physical abuse and then it may be even harder to rid yourself of him.
btw -- he's not "so in love with you". His behavior is possessive and controlling in an unhealthy weay that has nothing to do with real love.
I'd break up wih him in a very public environment- perhaps with your friends or his friends present as witnessess. IT may take a public embarassment to shake him up, and having witnesses is a good thing. After that, if he pursues you, you should report his stalking behavior to school officials or the police.

Well if he treats YOU like crap why worry about hurting his feelings? And it is better if you dump him than him dumping you, be the better one and get out of the situation. He is too controlling and this doesnt mean he is in love with you.

That's a good opportunity for u to dump someone. Just tell him that you have been thinking abt this relationship and u don't think it will work. Explain truthfully to him. It will hurt less.

I wouldn't worry to much about hurting him. He'll get over it. Just tell him that you don't want to see him anymore. I'm tired of the way you treat me. I deserve better. Its obvious you don't trust me and I am tired of it. Get to Steppin'... Its not nearly as difficult as you are making it. He'll live thru it, Honest he will...

Just tell him, you don't enjoy being followed, and you do not appreciate being told what you can and cannot do, he is not your parents, and ask him to please understand that you just are not into him the way he appears to be into you.
If he persists, I would tell a trusted adult or your parents about the situation.
