im sick and tired of this crap wasting newspaper space, radio, and tv time. It doesnt matterto me if people are dying over there, Americans lives are my number one concern. Comments anyone?

That's what I hate about Americans! You are all so self centered its unbelievable! No, I don't think it would be a good idea to nuke the Middle East! Maybe people don't care about you too! How would you feel if someone was talking about nuking you and your American friends?!

200 million deaths outright from the blasts and another 190 million in nearby countries from the fallout, and their only guilt would be living near the middle east. The fallout will be carried by the winds to India, Japan and the Far East. Way to go, the threshold for Nuclear Winter is very low. Carl Sagan estimated a mere 100 megatons would be a global catastrophe. The use of nuclear weapons has been deterred for over 60 years based on the MAD doctrine, or have you forgotten that. And besides, the terror cells would still be in existence. While it might be nice to think the problem will go away with nuking the middle east, the reality is that the world would face a worse situation...sorry.

Well if you dont like the news, turn off the tv or dont read the newspapers.
You say " American lives are your #1 concern".
Well prove it...Usually people wh care alot abou this country are very proud and join the military to defend our country.
And by you suggesting nuking the middle east shows that you are stupid and dont care about American lives. If you nuke that area, americans all over the world will suffer and will you be there to protect them all?
Instead of stupid suggestions, go find out how you can USA more and be a better citizen.

Unfortunately the easiest way out of things is rarely the morally or ethically right thing to do. Besides the way things go with the media here we'd probably hear about it for weeks ahead of time and we'd end up the ones that get attacked again. It really wouldn't be a cut and dry thing and would cause more problems.

It wouldn't bother me any if they did it, the world has alot of very big problems to deal with and wasting so much time and resources on these nut cases is just sapping considerable resources from things like cleaning up the environment, overpopulation, and making a better life for the inhabitants of planet earth.

uhm, lets wipe out a whole ethnic group to make the world a better place, a few people tried this already, Mao, Stalin, Hitler. You need to sit down with a family in Iraq look them square in the eye and them your plan. Maybe the people in Iraq are fighting not only for power, but to have freedom from American involvement
