noticeable in your blood for up to 24+ hours! the more you drink the longer it stays, your liver can only break down alcohol at a set rate, thats why drinking fast will always mash you up ! slowly it wears off... you can dilute with water which helps! and verys a bit on what you ate if any before drinking. 1 unit an hour is crap, if i go out and drink 5 units after 5 hours i can drive? hope he dont get stopped by the old bill

It takes approximately an hour for a unit of alcohol to leave you system. If a pint of beer contains 2 units, you are inbibing 20 units. Supposing that you down half of your first beer immediately at 9pm, it will take you 20 hours to process the alcohol out of your system. So unfortunately you won't be safe to drive until 5pm the next day. The prescence of food in the stomach can cause up to 20% of the alcohol to be oxidised before it gets into the blood. So if you had a good meal you could probably expect to knock 4 hours off your safe driving time - it would then be 1pm.
This article is quite interesting... http://www.dundee.ac.uk/forensicmedicine/notes/alcohol.pdf#search='alcohol%20units%20average%20time%20for%20elimination%20from%20body'

average is 1 hour per unit, although other things affect absorbing into blood stream ie weight, content of the stomach, male or female etc
full stomach will slow down alcohol into bloodstream however you cannot calculate this process, 10 pints- 10 hours so probably not before 10in the morning

It depends on what you had to eat before you started drinking and if you only drank the 10 pints or had some food with it. Then your height and weight matters and so many other things.
If you want to be safe, ask a cop to give you a breath test or buy one of those "do-it-yourself" tests.

this aint gonna make you happy, but i heard that two every pint its 3 hours with no food, drink or sleep. 2 hours with sleep and 1 hour with 2 pints of water.
so, 10 pints equals 10 hours and 20 pints of water! or 20 hours sleep. or 30 hours of doing nothing. best thing is as much wter and food as possible and as much sleep you can and hopefully you wont be too pissed and hungover to drive!

well everyone is different as to how they disperse alcohol from their body. do what the cops do and give yourself the sobriety test. touch your nose and walk a straight line and say alphabet backwards in front of a sober friend. also take stock of your self do you seriously still feel it and be honest about it. if you still feel it call in sick and go back to sleep and feel better you did the right thing
