I have tried this. I think it usually gives an 'acceptable' result, but I prefer to use a dry shampoo spray which is also in powder form. Lee Stafford or Toni & Guy do good ones.

If your hair is looking oily and yo have no time for a shampoo, powder will absorb the oil. Just be sure you brush it out good.

Well, to be frank, I too don't think so. But, i've read on net, if you are in a rush, and you need to get clean hair, just dab some powder on your hair and comb it, but you should test it on your hairs!
