OK it sounds like you have IBS(irritable bowel syndrome) it's very common and can be treated without drugs. Although your diet is healthy, it may still contain things which aggravate IBS, I would recommend that you start an elimination diet and see if this helps you to identify what foods aggravate your IBS(it's different for every suffer) here are some very common foods which cause IBS, wheat, yeast(including mushrooms, bread etc), dairy products, citrus fruits, dried fruits, fizzy drinks, tea/coffee and caffeine in general, sugary foods/sweets/chocolate etc, try eating foods from each group and gauging your bodies reaction to them, if you get bloating and discomfort you will know to avoid that food in future. Other things which may help are taking Yakult or another bacteria based drink or supplement to top up the good bacteria, drinking lots of water each day to keep the bowel well hydrated, peppermint tea is good for the digestive system, perhaps an gentle abdominal massage may help to keep things moving along in the bowel. You can buy some good books on IBS too. I suffered from it for about 18 months, did an elimination diet and have had it under control for the last 5 years, I can now eat any food I like, but in moderation. Another massive factor in IBS is stress, so if you are stressed either eliminate the cause or if that's not possible, learn some stress management techniques. All the best to you.

i'm getting that plenty. I extremely have digestive issues with the aid of years of no longer ingesting precise. I spent years hardly ingesting in any respect. Now ingesting some thing, even slightly nutrients makes my abdomen sense tight and bloated and components me gas. i hit upon that gentle workout helps to alleviate the stress. There are drugs that help ward off gas from construct up on your abdomen, yet this may no longer be the region. Describe your indications to a clinical specialist. EDIT: certain bran would properly be imparting you with gas. distinctly once you've an hypersensitivity to it or in case you devour it with fruit- which includes raisins. The enzymes contained in the fruit spoil down the bran and create gas which may reason a painful, tight bloated abdomen.

You could cut out wheat, dairy, sugar, any yearst products and fizzy drinks. Eat small meals regularly but slowly. Cut down on raw foods like fruit and veg as although they are good for you too much can bloat you. If you do eat fruit always eat on a empty stomach

I used to have the same problem and my gyno actually solved it for me. She told me to cut out all sodas and basically sugars. Drink more than the recommended amount of water daily. That's very important. Also, to eat yogurt daily. There is a "safe" bacteria in yogurt called L. acidophilus, it helps with your digestive track. Also, if you go to a vitamin store, they can give you a daily L. acidophilus pill to take. Take care and hope I helped!

Irritable bowel syndrome?
Crohns disease?
Ulcers?

I've had ulcers for many years, and my stomach would swell sometimes to the point that I looked visibly pregnant. And damn, did it hurt!

I take medication daily now and feel alot better.. its amazing when you feel better, how much better you sleep.

I would talk to your doctor again, mention any heartburn, and keep track of everything you eat for a week.. this may help pinpoint something that is aggravating you.

Good luck, I hope you find a solution soon...

Often it is cause by irreular eating times.I find if i eat every 3-4 hours it helps. I have also been told that drinking hot water helps. But I cant stand the taste of kettle water :-). Another solution could be to avoid bready things, like when they bake, it swells, same thing happens in your tummy. Rather eat protiens and low GI starches.

I agree with the friendly bacteria but try this too..
Lie straight on the bed. put your feet flat on the bed and rock ur knees from side to side.. Then Pull ur knees toward ur chin hold them there with ur hands and rock again.
Straighten Ur legs straight out then bring them quickly to the chin. Repeat this process... Also when Ur sitting in the car or at the office tighten the stomach musels then relax...
All of this helps to expel any trapped wind and helps to keep the intestines from getting sluggish..
Ur giving them a nudge..
Hope this helps
Good luck...

if you know the pain is related to nerve disorder and you choose a drug-based therapy, ask you dr. about "neurontin". it's a pain killer that acts differently than opiates. opiates and over the counter painkillers may make your intestinal discomfort increase over time.

other wise, i agree with the first two answers.

Eating natural "live" yoghurt with some honey mixed in may help. Live yoghurt has good bacteria in it and the honey is soothing.

You can go with all the stuff with "friendly bacteria added" if you like, but in my opinion it's overpriced nonsense when normal yoghurt has the good stuff in it anyway.
