Some one asked E.M.S. Namboodripad, the later CPM leader from Kerala, who used to stammer, " Do you always stammer?". The irrepressible EMS said, " Not always. Only when I speak". I think the problem with the stammerers is that they are in a hurry to express what they think". It requires both a speech therapy as well a mental therapy- to remain calm and composed. Learn consciously to communicate yourself, in deliberate and quiet way. It is easier said than done. Nothing works more than self help.

The more you mixed with people of all ages the more your confidence will improve. And with the stammer, try to emphasise what you are saying with gestures of the hands and body language. Similar to what the deaf people do, with the sign language, and making the meanings quite clear. I know boosting your confidence up isn't easy, but what I've said will help, if only you can do it. Of course you could do with a therapist to help you with this, and having that option may not be there for you. Whether your parents can enquire on your behalf to see if you can get some guidance for your dilemma. I wish you progress in solving this embarrassing afflicting condition. givemestrength

If u stammer just because of lack of self confidence or practise then I would suggest you to start reading aloud to improve the fluency.
Practise speaking in front of a mirror to improve upon confidence and never hesitate while speaking.

The best cure is to take 10-15 peeled almonds daily morning keeping wet in water last night. It will be very helpful to control stammering.

Funny ... I didn't notice a stammer ... not even a little one????
It could be a confidence thing ... nervousness or shyness ... or you may have a genuine speach impediment.
School councellors can usually get you some sort of help with a speach therapist or a speach therapists aid
You'll probably grow out of it yourself though .... Good Luck

Have you tried singing? Seriously. If you can carry a tune, try speaking in a sort of sing-song for awhile. It might help. Good luck!
