This question is really nt a good 1..Are u going to opt 4 a carreer according to what other think or according to ur own capabilities..I will nt say ne1 is better cuz that may lead some1 in the wrong path.. Each and every field has some importance. Its nothing like better or bad.. It depends on indivisuals.. So I wud advice u dont opt 4 a career from a common view bt think what u like and what u can do best that will be best 4 u and take some time while deciding..
And if u r asking this money wise then also there is a big unevenness..Some enggineers and doctors make huge money while others have to do a lot a hard work for each buck..So u have to be best in anything to have the world on ur feet.. And if ur best no matter which field u choose u will make wonders there.. Remember Sanjeev Kapoor is only a Cook a Bawarchi bt he's the best in his business and so the respect he has earned and the image he has got in the society is adorable

It really depends on you. The medical option will be more social if you work the service end instead of research. With engineering though it will take you less time in school to make the same amount of money. Medical questions are often more open-ended and a 'ideal solution' is more often substituted with a 'best solution'. Is this something you would be ok with?

Modern academics are best chosen with an attitude that encompasses diversity. MIX TWO FIELDS like chemistry and math, or mechanical engineering and physiology, to become really important to your future jobs.

The medical industry is growing rapidly. Besides, all of us get sick every now and then.

And most importantly, you get to help people. Some of the deadly diseases or disorders are under-researched. So we need more of those healthcare professionals.

In my point of view, there's a lot of engineers going around already. You don't come into contact with as many people so I thought that would be a less fulfilling career option.

Unless you are a technical person, engineering would be a pretty dry industry.

Just personal opinions.

medical by leaps and bounds! The field is growing so fast and in desperate need of qualified people. It is in the case of non-elective procedures largely compensated by insurance and in the case of elective procedure is funded by the privileged. It remains a hold out from foreign intervention here in the U.S.A. unlike engineering which no one wants to pay for your highly educated services and most U.S. companies either utilize contract engineers so they don't have to offer benefits; or they rely on services provided from places like India where the engineers work for WalMart wages.
