If I was you I would go to the doctor right away, heartburn can be cause by reflux, which is nothing else that the acids in your stomach comes up to the esophagus area, which isn't protected against them as the stomach is, causing that bad sensation. If the last had been happening frequently and te pain is worst than before your esophagus may be is affected by the acids making ulcers in that area that can generate cancer. Don't waste more time and seek medical attention right away. As sooner as better.

Drink some cider vinegar. It helps return your stomach acid production to normal levels. In some instances, after a week or two of daily doses, one may never have heartburn again.

Lose weight, exercise, eat a healthy (primarily vegetarian) diet, and take a teaspoon of colloidal silver twice a day. You'll be amazed in a week or two when your acid reflux is completely gone.

Go to your doctor. He can give you a safe, effective medication for this. I don't like to mention prescription names as that is the doctors job...but know that what you have is a common complaint and it should be doctor treated.
