Does anyone remember Green Tomato Ketchup and Tab drinks?

I mean what was that all about? Are there any other foodstuffs that you can think of that didn't quite work?

Yes! I made my mom get a bottle of the green ketchup when it came out... but it wasnt green tomatoes it was just green dye that made it green... ew! And it didnt taste right at all. Yeah I remember Tab, now Tab makes an energy drink & its in all the stores! I haven't tried it. Also remember Pepsi Blue? And before that, Clear Pepsi? Neither of them ended up sticking around. Didnt they also make peanut butter SLICES, that you unwrap like american cheese singles? I saw them on tv and thought how lazy do you have to be that you cant open a jar and spread your peanut butter?!

Yes, I remember Tab and One-Cal-they were vile. We had not only green ketchup, but also purple, but they look horrible. It brings back happy memories of a fight I had with my husband, which ended in me squirting him from head to toe with green ketchup while he had his work suit on (don't worry, it was only cheapo corporate wear), and it was all over the kitchen wall and my fridge door. I felt really good afterwards, but he still can't see the funny side of it (it was about 5 or 6 years ago) and goes mad if I tell anyone. He's just gone to Scotland until Saturday on a golfing break (how nice for him, eh when the kids are off school) so he won't know. Ha ha! :)

I'm so old (in my 30s) not only do I remember Tab coming out, but I remember getting bullied at school for being seen drinking a 'diet' drink. Obviously this is way, way before Diet Coke made it socially exceptable.

Tried green tomato ketchup, never really liked it.

I used to drink loads of Tab when I was in my late teens/early 20's (so about 15 years ago), liked it a lot, but now can't find it anywhere (UK, that is).

Green Ketchup - one for the kids I think, never really fancied it myself, prefering HP Sauce!

Something that I've not seen for a long time, and I wonder if it's still produced, was a extremely sugary fizzy drink called Mountain Dew -- from memory, it was almost fluoresent green in colour, and probably tasted worse than red bull, but at the time, it was tasty, and certainly made a welcome change from Coke.

If anyone can point me in the direction of where I might be able to order a load of tab, let me know!

I don't remember Green Tomato Ketchup but I used to live off Tab Clear at High School.

I don't think peanut butter works but then thats coz i can't stand the stuff.

Thinking waaaaay 20 yrs, back:
there was a drink called Quatro had a big Q on the bottle kind of an early Five alive. I remember drinking lots of it during junior school games, I then won the obstacle course :) my only badge.

There was a bounty type coconut choclate bar called im sure it was copacabana, was blue wrapper with orange writing.

Recently - Mountain Dew - very bright green drink, i thought it was great but it bombed, can buy in America still.

Liptonice - partially revamped changed.

Tab clear - can buy it in other countriese

I remember both, never tried the green tomato ketchup but drank a lot of Tab in my college years. They still sell Tab but think they gave up on the green goo.

I remember tab so well. I loved it! Now we're going back many many years here, not the awful tab clear, but the proper stuff that sadly was replaced by diet coke. Never tried the green ketchup, just the thought of it makes me heave, sorry.

Yes, I remember both. I use to drink tab once in a while, and I tried the green ketchup, and even though it tasted like ketchup, I just couldn't bring myself to use it much. The green color just didn't look appealing.

My friend and I used to get "drunk" on Tab and Pub Squash!!!
20 years ago.

Green Tomato Ketchup (sauce in Aus) is still on the shelves. The kiddies love it (once). After the first half bottle, the rest goes in the bin though!
