It basically means that she is not interested in being/doing anything else, and just wants to stay friends. But maybe its because you two are such a good friends that she doesn't want to lose your friendship over some dumb fight while dating and then have it all be over. But all girls are not the same, if you are really interested in dating and moving foward with her, you should really talk to her about it.

It means that if they should have man problems, guess who is calling you and if she just needs someone to listen to. Don't need to worry, be that special friend it always ends up in a relationship because who understands her better? Of course you do!
OR
It could mean a friendship with benefits. You know, where you do the nasty just because she is *****.
