My sister is getting married in 2 weeks, and I'm ashamed to say I still haven't bought a wedding gift. They are goin on there honeymoon to Ney York for a week - I have thought about the idea of booking something for them to do when they are over there, although they already have theatre tickets bought for them.
Any great ideas for a really great gift I could buy? It doesn't necessarily have to be something to do in NY - I'm open to all ideas at this point!

you should make a honeymoon basket, or u can buy them some places too.
it's a, basket with wine/wine color/beer (anything really u can even Misx it up some)-(if they do not drink u can put things they do drink in there) sweets(candy),Bath things,(bath salt,scrubber,heart soup ..and so on.)Candles, in cents, and u can also add a disposable camera, u can put a photo album in there and if u have some photos of them u can put that in there and u can also put something like Shirts that say bride and groom ,or buy his and her robs,(one pink one blue or just white) and then u can also have a one of them love Cd's in there and u can always put something a Lil letter in there to say u are happy they frond each other and it's relax time now and how the enjoy the basket//... you can do a bunch of stuff i got one and i loved it we took it on our honeymoon and it was my fave girl it was even in a box that said to not open me until the honeymoon...But my mom told me be careful with ti so i had a idea there was glass in it.. oh yea if u do the drink think don't forget to put fancy glasses in there ;) ~ <3 hope i helped :)

A night time carriage ride? That would be romantic and unique.
Have a nice meal catered in to them at their hotel. Have them include a red rose and candles.
Ok this may sound silly but do they already have a place to live when they get back home? Do they want any decorating or remodeling work done? Hire a painter to paint the house while they are gone. Or have the house completely cleaned including ceiling fans and windows.
Take some nice pictures of them at the church or hall. Full length pictures including close ups. Take the pictures to an artist and have an oil painting done of them from the pictures. Maybe include both sets of parents.
Invest in stocks for them.
Buy them a grill if they like cooking outside.
Buy them a day at the spa. Or her a day at the spa and him a day at a golf course or gym.

A gift that they will be able to use everywhere, including NY is cash. You can even go to yoru bank and buy then a visa gift card, so they can swipe it wherever they please.
Are there registered anywhere? Try a gift card from there.
I recently went to a wedding and I got them a very fancy picnic basket, It's a romantic and thoughful gift. The basket had silverware and fancy dishes and table clothes, wine opener and a cutting board. I added a very nice wine and a blanket and a few things from my state. THEY LOVED IT!

What about getting a clip frame and putting in loads of pictures of your sister as she grew up? You could even ask the grooms family for some of him and put them both in.
Could you pay to upgrade their flight or their hotel room?
You could also just give your sister a gift of a locket with pictures of you and her in it - she's another man's wife now but always your sister.

Why not just get them something they can do after the honeymoon? You can buy hot air balloon trips and flying lessons and wine tasing weekends and stuff. You can even book these at Argos!

It would help if we knew what you wanted to spend.....
What ever you give them they will appreciate it. I mean you could just give them cash, and let them treat themselves to something in NY- like a fancy dinner or a carriage ride.
You could also call a nice restaurant in NY and make a reservation for them and charge it to your credit card.

Make a scrap book for them. loads of good ideas like that on hobby craft website. Or get a fancy frame or champagne glasses with their names engraved on it with their wedding date...

Get them a nearby bed and breakfast gift certificate - it's a gift they can enjoy anytime and it's romantic and classic; perfect for creating memories.
