it's a matter of beliefs and thoughts, doesn't have to do with religion

Curious. You start with a heading asking of we think Muslims are terrorists - but then in the body of your question, you ask us what we think of Islam. Either I am missing the point or the two should not automatically be the same thing.
I will however offer a few thoughts.
No, I do not believe the majoity of Muslims are terrorists, I suspect they are peace loving people like the rest of decent society. HOWEVER, I would say that a disproportionately (sp?) high number of terrorists ARE Muslims.
As for Islam, I respect the right of others to whatever religion they choose HOWEVER I do find it a little difficult to understand devotion to a religion when:-
1. Mohammed was IIRC in his fifties when he married (and consumated) his marriage to a pre-teen bride. (Married at 6, consumated at 9) - source: HADITH OF SAHIH MUSLIM VOLUME 2, #3309, Aisha reported: Allah’s Messenger married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine….
2. It was advocated that the child bride/sex was an acceptable way for his followers too.
3. A person who is raped can also be sentenced to death under Sharia - the logic being "the person should have struggled to the death to avoid it".
For this and other reasons, I find that Islam (and its Sharia law) are ones that I cannot embrace for myself, I have different views of the world, different ideas of what a loving God/Gods would demand of his followers.
Incidentally, I note that one of the "rewards" promised to terrorists (and others) is that Paradise would consists of 72 virgin girls and 28 pre-pubescent boys
Koran 52:24
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls
well-guarded.
Koran 56:17
Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.
Does rather make me wonder a little bit about quite what we are supposed to think about the values being taught here, but I shall leave that a rhetorical question.

I don't think muslims are terrorists, anyone would be dumb to even say that, considering that muslims have brought so much into the dark ages of western mankind, i think the "muslim terrorists" are just given too much exposure on the media, after all it does sell.
And then again the KKK, IRA, tamil tigers and many others besides are not muslims.
The terrorists have one thing in common they claim to believe in doctrine thta they don't believe themselves they just go out and kill people.

Some terrorists are Muslims. Others are Irish (the IRA), American (Timothy McVey)...it spreads across the board. We just hear more about Islamic terrorists, so they immediately come to mind.
I have absolutely nothing against Islam, nor Muslims. People are people, and you will find fanatics in every religion, every walk of life. Unfortunately, it's these fanatics that give everyone in their religion a bad name....one bad apple so to speak.

Here in America we are simply overexposed to the viloent side of your faith as it is what sells. It comes down to the almighty dollar. However, many believe that perhaps the groups of muslims that are not violent should begin to yell a little louder at those who are. I do not know how you would go about it but it seems like more of that needs to be seen. As for the initial question, I believe a lot of muslims are violent just as I beiebe there are violent Christians and Jews. Violence does not have color or religious boundaries. All it needs to fan its flames is the match of intolerance.

Well, let's see. The pope quotes a 16th Century pope that said islam was propagated by violence - and as a result, muslims riot, burn and murder.
It is just the time we live in now. It's the muslims turn at the chopping block. During the Crusades it was the christians that were raping, burning and murdering.
More people have been killed in the name of [insert the name of your god here] than for any other reason.

No, not all muslims are terrorists I agree. But, the problem is that those muslims who are terrorists do it in the name of their religion so thats why the west has this notion of all muslims being terrorists. It's human nature to generalize.

Mostly no. The press must demonize them all though to drum up support for the war. Fine distinctions are not good propaganda.
They are in the unfortunate position that anything they do to defend themselves is defined as terrorist by the invading forces. Just like the French when they were occupied by Germany.

No! Besides, the US government just made a law that says they can call anyone they want a terrorist for any reason they wish. So, that means everyone is potentially a "terrorist."

No, not all muslims are terrorists. And not all terrorists are muslims either, that's just the focus of these days.
Terrorists are twisted people that have decided to kill other people who they think are wrong. They use all sorts of ideas from all sorts of believes to justify their means, but they are all wrong, because any believe system that says you can kill other people would sign its own doom. None of the mainstream believe systems allow killing.

I despise Islam and muslims because they belong to a regressive religion and do nothing to stand up to the "few" terrorists. Their image is nothing but negative and I have seen nothing from that community to try and improve the image, particularly in the USA. I will never give muslims the benefit of the doubt.
