Does limescale contribute to kidney stone formation? I have a filter in my kettle, but what about those people who don't? Are they more likely to get kidney stones?

The scales in your kettle were originally minerals in the water you drink.
I do not believe hard water causes kidney stones, but only your urologist can answer that.

I moved to a new town that had a high content of lime in the water and within a month I had Kidney Stones that took a year and a half of treatment to get rid of and to clear the infections they caused. Only drink bottle water now, use it in my kettle and for cooking.

Not necessarly the chemistry of the body is solely responsible for the formation of stones in our kidney / gall bladder etc and if we eat food like banna fiber then the stone formation will never occur.

I have lime scale too , & every time I make coffee it gets a foamy top on it, if I don't keep my kettle clean, but don't think it has anything to do with kidney stones.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
