why is there a general hatred towards muslims?

i'm a hindu but have many muslim friends and i don't see people according to religion,i don't understand why religion is so looked at when judging people?

The recent developments all around the world have led peace loving people to a state of hatred towards Muslims, though the religion itself and most of the Muslims are not to blame.
WTC, Madrid, Bali, Mumbai, Delhi, London......... now the people every where live under a permanent fear thinking that they are the next target.
Common people now think that any condemnation by the leaders of Islamic countries and the clergy after any terrorist attack is nothing more than washing off the hands and they aren't at all sincere.
This feeling is supplemented with the generalisation that these leaders can, if they want, solve the problem of terrorism for ever.
But the tragedy is that they don't want.
Remember, MUSLIMS WEREN'T HATED BEFORE 10 YEARS as they are hated now.
Dear Muslim brethren, whether you like it or not, there is a shadow on you now.
You may not be able to remove it overnight, but YOU HAVE TO.
Let us all live in a world without any terrorism, prejudice and hatred.

the problem is between brahmins and muslims. brahmins are losing thier positions in every field. they want to divert the attention of the less fortnate hindus, so that they can hold on to their positions. reservation for OBCs is a classic example. jobs in government sector has to be shares in the proportion of the percentage in population. that is not done. when others become very assertive they want to deny them all opportunities.

so riots between hindus and muslims are engineered. muslims per se are fanatic people. but that does not mean they are bad. brahmins are more fanatics than muslims. thats a truth.

general hatred toward muslims is a brahminic feeling and generally of north indian origin. one reason is for a long period north indians were under the muslim rule. north indian generally jump to judging people of other areas without even a thought. the same is happening with muslims, a brahminic influence.

I agree. I'm a Jew and have the same feelings. Many Muslims hate me just because of how it came to be that I was born a Jew. Lucky for me, i have a Muslim wife who doesn't hate me. People use certain cues to judge others--religion is one, geography, race and language are others. Sad planet we live on.

I am not able to hate, and I see that people hate those who kill innocent, no mater if their last name is Bush or bin Laden.

People can hate only other people not their Religions.

Same goes for Muslim Haters, first they must find out who are Muslims, in order to hate them.

english people and other europeans or americans just associate muslims with suicide bombers- which is a completely unfair way to think. The propaganda of the past few years has brain washed most ppl to beleive muslims are the bad guys, no-one seems to be able to distinguish between al-queda and muslims who follow their faith with no bad intentions what so ever

dOES 9/11 ring a bell and when it happened Muslims in Arab countries were shown dancing joyfully in the streets. Wake up there is a jihad against all non Muslims too.
