Let me push it even further. The key word is "reason". does reasoning need an ans? Yes. Does ans need proof? yes. Does proof need evidence? yes.

Do take a look at some evidence that ISLAM have. Then youll undertand why Islam is the fastest growing religion and what is the REASON why many to change their path to ISLAM.

yes by Iranians.
I'll tell you a secret.Go and do a research and you'll see that nearly in every big project in the world Iranian scientist do major things.for example the best designer of Ferrari cars,the head of mars mission in NASA,the best nervous and heart and brain surgents, are all Iranians.they take part nearly in every scientifical fields you can imagine of.have you heard that an Iranian scientist has made an engine that works with water (It's his 71th great invention in the world)?what about that device which can keep H.I.V patiants alive?
actually you cannot count them.only 71 inventions are done by a 20 year old boy in Iran.I would say billions of inventions are done by Iranians (Moslems).

It's a good and positive website. However, whilst it is true that Iranis and indeed Iraqis and Egyptians are, as individuals, among the best scientists in the world did they learn their science at western or Muslim universities?

And the great contributions made, and they were great, all seem to have been made centuries ago.

I have read, by people who claim to know, that the education system of some of the wealthier Arab states, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Syria and Egypt is dominated by religion and that many of the Imams who teach there believe that a thorough knowledge of the Koran is sufficient education.

I have heard a well educated devout Muslim opine that because of this the Muslims are in danger 'of being written out of history'. He meant I think that they were being sidelined out of the great advances of our time.

I am not anti Muslim any more than I am anti Christianity, but I think that one of the strengths of the West is that we are prepared to put religion 'on the back-burner' and allow reason to lead us forward. It seems to me that many Muslims would regard this not as a strength but as a weakness and consider that Koran alone a perfectly adequate document for the conduct of government and the gathering of knowledge.

Any devout Muslims reading this, if I am wrong please correct me, it is what and many others believe.

Yes, checked that and I'm impressed, but I have never doubted the intelligence of Muslims! There may even be a few intelligent Christians about?
The thing that surprises me is how can all religions have intelligence and at the same time belive in such a load of BS??

Granted that Muslims have contributed to society, what does it then prove? It is equally true that adherents of other religions, notably Christianity, have led the progress of civilisation. Yet the fact that a religion has contributed to society's advances, or even demise, is irrelevant to the issue of the TRUTH of that religion. I hope you are not using Muslims' contribution to society as proof of the truth of Islam, because it isn't!

well arranged site.
what I know about muslim inventions is after a rapid development era especially in Ottoman, Egypt, Persia..., they all fell into a sagnation time because of unsuccesful political decisions and too much investments to army despite of losing wars. Today only some of them are trying to catch the modern life.
