Actually, there are fries, dressing and gravy served in many places in Canada.. The dressing is a breadcrumb mixture seasoned and sprinkled on the fries, with gravy poured over. It's disgustingly unhealthy, but sooooo delicious. A very popular item at fish and chips restaurants. Salt and vinegar are also popular toppings, and well, ketchup will never go out of style. The cheese and gravy combo is called poutine.. and it also is soooo good!! but Sooo bad for you..

Yes! Gravy and fries is fabulous and very popular in Canada and the Northern US states that border Canada. Try them out--they're pretty tasty!

If you're talking about gravy and cheese curds on our fries that's called *Poutines* and really good too.
I know some American's who put mayonaise on their fries. Never tried that, so don't know how it would taste.
Vinegar goes good with fries. I like ketchup best, but does have to be Heinz ketchup.
