have the same problem and if so, what do you do about it because I never craved sweets until my doctor put me on diabetic medication and told me I had diabetes when I only had a 160 one morning. I know that is not good but is more hyperglycemic. Could the medication have made me develop diabetes? Please help. I would like to see those of us with diabetes form a diabetics anonymous group.

I have no family history of diabetes and my doctor started putting me on all kinds of medicine. He never gave me a diabetic diet or told me to do anything except stop eating, which was terrible I thought. He no longer is practicing medicine due to severe illness.

I have been diabetic for 15 years and have a very sweet tooth. The advice I have been given by both doctors and diabetic nurses is to binge. If you fancy a bar of chocolate, eat the whole thing in one siting. You sugar levels will go sky high, peak and fall again. If you eat it in little bits, your sugar level rises and stays high. This is were the danger is. Not the sudden peak but the continual high.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

You need to take diabetes education classes. Those classes changed my life. When I learned about carbohydrates and that they are not just refined sugar, how many grams per meal I should have and how much exercise to get I went from 203 lbs to 126 lbs and stabilized my diabetes for about three yrs. Now my sugars are kind of high and soon I will be on insulin, but the disease progresses no matter what some people do. Take those classes now!! If you can't afford them through a hospital go to your local health dept. Help is out there but it's up to you to seek them out.

I have type two and used too be a six coke a day man with candy bars and Hostess cup cakes. I have keep my problem under control for five years now by just avoiding sugar. I cook with Splenda and know one can tell the difference from sugar. I drink diet tea as I do not like diet soda .Sorry but 160 is diabetes if you have not eaten in a few hours is way to high. They can take a blood test that will tell them your number for last three months. Take your problem very seriously as I had a heart attack that could have been helped along by diebetes, My number by eliminating sugar is 117. and so far have not taken meds. I think it may sound hard but I went to sugarless food ans drink and I don't think I could drink a regular soda now with out gagging. Good Luck

I have two young boys that are diabetic, 11 and 8..both diag. when 4 yrs old. I will tell you like the Endociologist told us a sugar is a sugar is a sugar in the end. They all break down the same, weather a candy bar or an apple. My suggestion to you is stick to a carb diet, allow yourslef so many carbs at each meal, make sure you eat a a simple and a complex carb, for the simple breaks down faster then the other...there for evening your sugar, so if you want a sweet have it with a cup of milk.

that is the stupidist advice I have ever heard. I am an insulin diabetic and eat potatoes all the time, even sweet potatoes. Your doc sounds like a quack. Maybe he wants you to lose the wt and not eat carbos but never give up carbos on a diabetic diet, which is clearly a good diet. See a specialist,I know that potatoes have a lot of potassium and maybe thats why he wants less potassium in your diet, what was wrong with your blood work?

Just because you had one reading at 160, does not make you a diabetic. You should go to a different doctor who specializes in diabetes to have yourself checked out. Some doctors are pill pushers.
