If signs and symptoms occur during the first outbreak, they can be quite pronounced. (i.e., hurt like hell & itch) The first outbreak usually occurs within two weeks after the virus is transmitted, and the sores typically heal within two to four weeks.

The sores are typically red, and look like the cold sores one can get in the mouth.

Other signs and symptoms during the first episode may include a second crop of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. However, most individuals with an infection may never have sores, or they may have very mild signs that they do not even notice or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition.

One can expect several (typically four or five) outbreaks within the first year.

There is a prescription medication available to treat herpes. It reduces the duration and severity of outbreaks. For those with chronic outbreaks, or for patients who are pregnant, it might be prescribed as a daily dose (infections to newborns are dangerous)

as an aside, do not confuse this with Herpes B - which is something monkeys get. You could get it, but only if you work around monkeys which have the virus (this means come into contact, not just pass them in a zoo or something).

I got diagnosed with herpes type 2 about seven years ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid 1 night stand. I know a lot of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her "you know what" area? But after a friend shared this video https://tr.im/hheTf everything changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program gave me back the chance to be happy, and to experience true love again. Now I want to help by sharing this with others.
