suks!! my sis college pals played that trick on my sis.she was feaking off over an exam that was to follow a few days later....& she could do anthing to skip it ..they suggested her to keep an onion under armpit for the whole nite to get her all feverish...LOL
she sure made such a joke of herself when she stinked all onion...for the next day...she bathed atleast 3 times to get it off...
&well she did hav to giv that exam...anyways...giggles!
be careful someone just playing a prank on u.

No, infections caused by viruses and bacteria make you sick. I don't imagine something like toothpaste in the armpit would help matters any, but that wouldn't be a direct cause, more like a contributing factor. You get a fever because the body is trying to limit the gerbie numbers, it's a first line defense of the immune system. The body cells function well at higher temperatures, gerbies don't. While I don't recommend putting strange items in your armpits, it won't make you sick any more than going outside in the cold or getting your feet wet does. It's still bacteria and viruses - not stuff like onions and toothpaste.

I think all it would do was to make you smell like garlic, or keep the vampires away?? Why would you want to put garlic under your arm pits???

garlic increases you body temp...it happens all the time..dont know why though
