My brother has both and they work great. I asked him recently if I were to buy one, what should I buy. He said the Polaris. We tend to use the utility atvs with 4WD (around the ranch). We do a lot of hauling with trailers, as well as a lot of fun play with them.

Polaris is a high maintenance machine and have drive belts, that slip when they get wet. I have a Honda Rancher, there have constantly been more of these sold than any other. Honda is by far the most dependable manufacturer on the market.

Given the choice between Polaris and Yamaha, I would say Yamaha. But you should definetly consider Honda.

Yamaha is a very good 4-wheeler. I had a 87 moto4. It was a
tough machine. Never owned a polaris, but hear good things.
I love my honda rancher.
