Soymilk only lasts about 10 days, and then it will start to seem different. When mine has gone bad, the carton will be bloated and the milk will be thicker than it should be. Soymilk normally doesn't have much smell at all, so if you can smell something then it's probably not good.

It smells off and has small clumps in it that are dispersed throughout. The smell is the first thing to notice. The clumps shouldn't be confused with the slick wispy stuff that settles to the bottom of the glass. That is the calcium that is added to the soy milk that you failed to shake up.

It curdles... like regular milk .. usually 5-7 days after you open it,it will go bad
The experation date on soy milk is quite acurate... dont drink it after the experation date..

I watch the container.
If an overgrowth of bacteria is happening, it will start bulging, since bacteria produces gas. more gas, more bulgy.
Smell is a major one, too.
Try to use by the expiration date.
