i'm trying to find info about someone who is in jail. i know his name, bday, and what jail he's in...but i need a relaesa date. anyone know how to obtain his public record for free? plz, it's for the sake of my daughter.....urgent

ok, so..i cant go into details but to answer a couple of your questions...my daughter is NOT in jail. she is only 6! it has to do with her "father" and some paternity/child support probs

I'm not sure if that would be public information. If you fear for your child's safty, I urge you to speak with your local police and the jail's supervisior. At least they can point you in the right direction and advise you on the next step. Good luck.

Check the court house for the day that he was sentenced. Also, the jail - but unless I'm mistaken if he is in jail, he's not going to have a release date. That's up to the parole board and it's based on his sentence. Go to the library and talk to the reference librarian. There is some book that by looking up a last name, you can find any article published. His sentencing should be published in the local paper. Or you can try the Department of Corrections - they would have some information too.

Our jails have a website, and you can look up prisoners by name or inmate number. You can see where they are working in the jail system, how much money they have earned by working, the meetings of the parole boards, and even scheduled release dates. Of course, this is in Arizona, where the sheriff makes the prisoners wear pink underwear, black and white striped clothing and pink handcuffs! Try looking up your county sheriff's website, there may be a link there for the jail/prisoner's records.

You'd probably have to either call the court house and find out, or pay an arm and a leg to obtain that info online.

If going to the police doesn't help, try the court house. You might need a court order to release that kind of info. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!!
